✨ Become who God created you to be.
Stop expecting your husband
to provide what only Jesus can.
⬇️ Start your Marriage Reset

For years, I thought my disappointment meant somet For years, I thought my disappointment meant something was wrong with Jim.
Or wrong with our marriage.

I replayed what he didn’t say.
I kept score without meaning to.
I waited for him to notice what I needed instead of bringing it to God.

But disappointment has a way of exposing what’s happening beneath the surface of our hearts.
I’ve learned it isn’t always something to run from or bury.
Sometimes it’s where God does His deepest work.
Now I ask a different question:
“Lord, what are You inviting me to trust You with today?”

That doesn’t minimize real hurt.
It doesn’t excuse sin.
And it doesn’t mean we stop longing for a loving marriage.

It simply means we bring those longings to the One who can hold them without ever failing us.

Friend, if disappointment has been heavy lately, I want you to know God is near.
He sees every tear.
He knows every longing.
And He is faithful to meet you right where you are.

If this encouraged you, comment “Amen.” I’d be honored to pray for you this week.
For years, I thought my biggest problem was Jim’s For years, I thought my biggest problem was Jim’s words.

If he criticized me, I felt crushed.
If he didn’t notice something I’d done, I felt unseen.

If he seemed distant, I questioned whether I was loved.

Looking back, I can see that my reactions weren’t always about what Jim said.

They revealed how much I depended on him to tell me I was okay.

That doesn’t mean a husband’s words don’t matter.

They do.

God created marriage to be a place of love, encouragement, and mutual care.

But no husband can carry the weight of giving his wife an unshakable identity.

Only Jesus can do that.

Learning the difference changed the way I responded—not because Jim suddenly became perfect, but because God was teaching me to receive from Him first.

Friend, if someone’s words have the power to steal your peace, don’t stop with asking why they said them.

Ask God what He’s inviting you to discover about your own heart.

He never reveals those places to shame us.

He reveals them because He loves us enough to heal them.

I’d love to hear from you. Have you ever realized that one of your strongest reactions pointed to something deeper that God wanted to heal? #kingdommarriage #christianwife #godlywife
I recently read this quote. Ouch. This one hit me I recently read this quote. Ouch.

This one hit me right between the eyes.

Because if I’m honest… I’ve done it too many times.

I’ve prayed for God to soften my husband’s heart… and then spent the rest of the day complaining about everything he did wrong.

I’ve prayed for peace… while replaying every hurt over and over in my mind.

I’ve prayed for God to change my marriage… while letting negativity shape my attitude.

Friend, this isn’t about pretending everything is okay.

God wants us to bring our pain to Him.

He invites us to pour out our hearts.

But there’s a difference between taking our hurts to God… and feeding them all day long.

Complaining keeps us focused on what’s wrong.

Prayer keeps us focused on the One who can make all things new.

The more I learned to trade complaining for gratitude, criticism for prayer, and control for surrender, the more God began changing me.

And when He changed me…

Everything around me started changing too.

Not because my husband became perfect.

But because my heart was finally in a place where God could do His deepest work.

What’s one thing you can choose to pray about today instead of complain about?

💛 Save this for the next time you’re tempted to complain.

Sometimes, you’ve gotta look yourself in the eyes Sometimes, you’ve gotta look yourself in the eyes and remind yourself who God says you are:

You are Chosen.
You are Redeemed.
You are Strong.
You are Deeply Loved.
You are Called.

Not because of how you feel, but because of what He says.

Today, I’m not shrinking back—I’m standing tall in His truth!

Say it with me: “I am who God says I am!”
